Basin

Basin is a fabulous bath accessories shop located in the Downtown Disney Marketplace area. It's not actually a Disney-operated shop, but the unique offerings and pleasant layout certainly lend themselves well to the Walt Disney World environment.

This store is filled with such things as luscious glycerine soaps, skin creams, Bath Bombs, and more--the wonderful aromas will entice you to take some things home with you. Be sure to check out the bar soap with the Mickey silhouettes in it!

On a recent trip, I spent a week in a one-bedroom villa at Disney's BoardWalk Villas Resort. The room had a large garden tub with water jets, so I decided to try a Bath Bomb in it. What a wonderful way to relax after a long day in the parks!

When you stop in, be sure to get enough so that you can use some of your purchases right away in your room, and still have a stash to take back home with you.

Here's a tip in case you buy any of the bar soap and plan to use it after you return home. A while back, I read a tip from Heloise in which she mentioned that bar soap lasts longer if you unwrap it and let it set in the open for a week or so before using it. I tried this with a bar of vanilla, and I think it does make the soap last a little longer.
