Biergarten

Located in Epcot's Germany
pavilion, Biergarten is
an incredible all-you-care-to-eat buffet serving lunch and dinner
daily. The food here is, of course, German, including such offerings
as sausages in many varieties among many other choices.
In Biergarten, every day is Oktoberfest--and you're
invited to celebrate with the "locals!" The indoor
restaurant is very large--and is themed as an outdoor park area
complete with traditional German-style building facades rising at
the rear of the dining room. The flags of the various regions of
Germany are displayed in this area, and it's fun to test your own
knowledge of Germany by trying to identify the regions represented.
To the front is a wooded area where a stage has been erected. On
this stage a band performs periodically, playing traditional German
instruments. A dance floor is provided in front of the stage, and it
generally sees a fair number of Guests during each performance.
The biggest surprise here is that the food is very
good! Often, with buffets, especially those within the theme parks,
the focus is on "quantity" instead of "quality,"
but at Biergarten, you'll enjoy both. An unusual feature here is the
seating: each table seats eight people, and parties are combined to
fill tables. This means you may be eating with other Guests. So, in
addition to great food, you just might be treated to some sparkling
conversation as well!!
The pricing is quite reasonable for what you'll
get--food and entertainment for about $20 at lunch and about $31 at
dinner (subject to change, of course!!)--and the beverage is
included. Fresh brewed tea is available here, along with other soft
drinks. Of course, at a place called Biergarten, the beer flows
freely here, but it is sold at an additional charge. It's hard to
resist that delicious German beer, so while dining here don't
hesitate to cut loose and have some. Beer seems to go with everything
served here!
Now, about the food offerings. Here's a partial listing of selections:
Seasonal Salads
Traditional Sausages
Sauerbraten (dinner only)
Rotisserie Chicken
Roast Pork

Potatoes
Spaetzle

To help you get a better idea of the foods, we've
included several photos of the buffet below.
We highly recommend this restaurant. Even those who
don't think they'll like German food generally find plenty of items
which please. Whatever you do, save room for the dessert buffet!!
You can fill a dinner plate with scrumptious desserts here and still
not have any two of the same thing. And, like the main course,
dessert is sure to please! For Guests with a Tables
in Wonderland card, you'll enjoy 20% off the already reasonable
lunch and dinner prices here. Be sure to show your card to save!
