Bistro de Paris

Located in the France pavilion in Epcot's
World Showcase are two terrific restaurants, Chefs de France
and Bistro de Paris, in addition to a walk-through
counter-service establishment along the back street known as
the Patisserie. The Bistro is located in the upper level,
directly over the Chefs de France on street level.
The Bistro de Paris serves dinner only, and is
a decidedly more "upscale" eatery than the Chefs de
France. The food here is gourmet--and is priced accordingly
(see menu). The decor is posh, and the service is intense. If
you're seated close to a window, you'll have a nice view of
World Showcase Lagoon from a seldom-seen angle; if you're
there while Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is being
performed, you'll have a spectacular seat from which to see
it.
Aronda dined here one evening a couple of
years ago, and while she enjoyed her experience, it wasn't
what she was hoping it would be. Sure, the food was
"good," but she was really expecting an
extra-special upgrade to the kind of menu items available
downstairs. This would probably be a terrific experience for
the gourmand, but for those who prefer a high-quality
rendition of foods with which they're fairly familiar, this
may be a notch or two too haute! Of course, even for the less
adventurous among us, there are a few items here that will
fill the bill.
The ambience here is wonderful--very quiet,
formal without being too stuffy for Disney Guests to enjoy
themselves, and located in an incredible location. The setting
is perfect for a romantic dinner getaway--imagine the perfect
ending to a wonderful day. For those staying at any of the
Epcot Resort area hotels around Crescent Lake, the walk back
to the room after dinner here is itself surely as satisfying
as the meal itself!

France
restaurant where a separate door leads into a podium and the
stairs which take you to the second floor Bistro
