Boatwrights Dining Hall
(photos below)
Boatwrights Dining Hall is a table service restaurant
located at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort. This is a
nicely themed establishment--and the food is good too!
The story at Boatwrights is that it's a former boat
building enterprise, now retasked as a restaurant. The
building is very tall and open, and an incomplete wooden boat
sits atop a drydock assembly in the middle of the floor--quite
an impressive sight to see! Along the walls are hooks still
holding woodworking tools appropriate for such large scale
work as boat building, and old lanterns still hang from the
ceiling on ropes to add to the illumination from the windows
high in the rafters.
This restaurant serves a variety of dishes at both
breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a la carte as is dinner.
Breakfast has the usual offerings, including eggs, waffles,
and the like, while dinner includes steaks, chicken, ravioli,
along with some traditionally Cajun offerings. See below for
menus if available.
Aronda recently visited at dinner, and found the food to be
top notch. She chose the sirloin steak, while another member
of her party had the jambalaya. Both were very tasty, and the
portions are perfect for hearty appetites.
Boatwrights honors the Disney Dining Experience card, so be
sure to show yours if you have one to save 20% off your bill
(before gratuity).
A fabulous restaurant at a really nice moderate resort. If
you like Cajun food, or you're just looking for a new and
interesting restaurant to try out, you owe it to yourself to
try Boatwrights--whether you're staying at Port Orleans
Riverside or not!

is very tall, and the theming is very well done!
