Cantina de San Angel
(photos below)
This outdoor counter service restaurant is
located across from the Mexico pavilion show building in World
Showcase at Epcot. There is no indoor seating available for
this restaurant, and surprisingly limited shady tables during
the day (the majority of the many tables are out in the open
with umbrellas--not enough to help on those hot Florida
days!).
The food
here is Mexican, and while there is a decent variety of menu
offerings, unfortunately Aronda and her team are unable to
recommend this as a dining location. The food is served in
lidded styrofoam trays, so that the items all overlap one
another. The sad thing is that the food seems to lack taste!
Very bland and rather homogenous--perhaps instead of
"black" beans--it should all be called
"grey" food. Too bad that this food is so poor, in
our opinion, because there is so little Mexican food offered
at WDW (and while we're at it, we may as well warn you away
from San Angel Inn--the
table service restaurant inside the pavilion--because the food
there isn't much better). If you're looking for Mexican
counter service, your best bet at WDW is at the Magic Kingdom
at El Pirata y el Perico
in Adventureland across the street from Pirates
of the Caribbean.
