Chefs de France
(photos below)
Located in the France pavilion in Epcot's
World Showcase are two terrific restaurants, Chefs de France
and Bistro de Paris, in addition to a walk-through
counter-service establishment along the back street known as
the Patisserie. The Bistro is located in the upper level,
directly over the Chefs de France on street level. The Chefs
de France is the more casual of the two table service eateries
in France, and in Aronda's opinion, the better of the two.
This restaurant opens at noon daily
(hours may vary depending on season and demand) and
serves lunch until 2:30 P.M. Later, at 4:00 P.M., it opens for
dinner until park closing. Both lunch and dinner are wonderful
here! The fare is delicious French cuisine, created by the
so-called "dream team" of French chefs Paul Bocuse,
Gaston LeNotre, and Roger Verge.
The food is great, the service is excellent,
and the decor is very pleasant. Even the view is good,
especially if you're seated near one of the many windows. In
years past when Epcot had the Tapestry of Dreams parade, it
was really nice to be dining when it passed by. The staff
often opened the large windows (weather permitting, of
course!) to let the music in, creating such a festive
atmosphere in the place!
This is a very popular restaurant, so be sure
to make reservations if at all possible--Aronda has actually
been turned away when she decided to try to "pop" in
on a whim. The Disney Dining Experience card is honored here,
so if you have one be sure to show it to save 20% off your
check. This one also frequently gives a discount to Disney
Vacation Club members, so check your Portable Perks (we keep
the DVC perks listed right here
on ArondaParks.com too) and show your member card.

The place is bright and
cheerful (photo looks a little "dark" because during
sunny hours
the windows provide most of the light)

Chef Remy appears to entertain
diners at specific showtimes during both lunch and dinner.

The ceiling has many murals
painted on it.

Magali, a server studying
culinary arts in France, UK and the US, is a young French
citizen
in the US on a special one-year visa.
