Name: Columbia Harbour House
Location: Magic kingdom; Liberty Square

Columbia Harbour House
(photos below)

A terrific counter service restaurant, Columbia Harbour House is one of the grand Colonial buildings in Liberty Square, located just across from the Haunted Mansion. The food offerings here include fried fish and clam chowder, along with sandwiches, burgers, and chicken.

The decor is colonial--New England style--with the look and feel of a seaport inn welcoming homesick sailors to a hearty meal. There's plenty of seating in this restaurant, including a second floor accessed by stairs. If you can get a table by a window, you'll be able to people-watch as you eat. Unfortunately, the parade route takes a turn before reaching this location, but you'll still find great views of the parkscape, especially from the upstairs windows.

A nice feature of Columbia Harbour House is the fresh brewed iced tea, available in both unsweetened and sweet varieties! This restaurant is one of the very few on Walt Disney World property which offers sweet iced tea.

During the busiest seasons at Walt Disney World, this restaurant can get crowded, so much so that you'll find it difficult to get a table despite the large dining rooms, so be aware if you want to eat here during peak periods. It may be quicker to get through the order lines--and easier to find a table--if you show up between the regular meal times. Generally, however, you'll find this eatery easy to navigate and a pleasure to visit!

Have you heard of Making Memories? It's the hottest Walt Disney World vacation planning guidebook around--filled with 400 pages of info you can use to plan an unforgettable trip!
