The Concourse Steakhouse is conveniently
located in the large open area inside the Contemporary Resort,
right next door to Chef Mickey's. In fact, as you pass through
the Contemporary on the monorail, you can look down into both
restaurants. Concourse Steakhouse features plenty of hearty
steaks, along with sandwiches for lunch, and regular breakfast
foods in the morning.
The decor here is, well, contemporary, so as
to fit in with the rest of the resort. The food is great, and
the prices aren't too terribly high, as table service
restaurants go. Concourse Steakhouse closes between meals, so
be sure to verify that it's going to be open at the time you
wish to dine (of course, with the popularity of the Disney
Dining Plan, you'll be a wise vacationer to make as many
Advance Reservations as possible, and the folks at
407-WDW-DINE won't give you a reservation at a time when the
restaurant isn't seating). On a Saturday in August 2007,
Aronda found the schedule posted as: Breakfast 7:30-11, Lunch
12-2, and Dinner 5:30-10.
This is a great alternative to in-park dining
at the Magic Kingdom, especially if you find that you can't
get a table at any of those. The Contemporary is just a quick
monorail stop away, or you can take the short (maybe 5-10
minute) walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary to dine
here. Another plus to taking a break from the Magic Kingdom
for a meal here is that you can get wine, beer, and mixed
drinks at Concourse, while Magic Kingdom restaurants never
serve such beverages.
The Disney Dining Experience card is honored here,
so if you have one be sure to show it to save 20% off your
check.

there's always availability
here--Aronda's been turned away at dinner, because it was

eateries you plan to use.)
