Here's a classic Disney attraction that's still going strong! The Country Bear Jamboree still pulls the Guests in for a 15-minute "live" stage show featuring more Audio-Animatronics bears than you can shake a stick at. You won't find Pooh here (he's over in Fantasyland with his own attraction, thank you very much!), but you will find plenty of big bear action.

The venue is Grizzly Bear Hall, located along the main thoroughfare and across from Tom Sawyer Island. The shows load periodically, about every half hour or so. There's a clock on the front porch which gives the wait time until the next show.

The bears put on a "backwoods" performance with plenty of country music--but don't let the musical style put you off! The theme is geared more toward humor than "serious" music. It seems that the kids really get a kick out of the Country Bears--they're always to be found in the audience laughing, clapping, and having a great time.

A big appeal to the show is Big Al, who seems to have something of a "cult" following. Why, he even has his own store just outside the theater. His rendition of "Blood on the Saddle" will move you--away from the seats near the stage! You see, Big Al can neither carry a tune nor play the guitar, though he attempts to do both for your pleasure.

Additionally, Teddi Berra, swings from the ceiling for her solo, much to the delight of the other bears. Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah perform a touching little ditty entitled "All the Guys That Turn Me On Turn Me Down" with a slide show accompaniment on the screen behind them.

This is a can't miss for any visit to the Magic Kingdom--be sure to swing by and check out the Country Bears on your next visit to Walt Disney World!
