The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) publishes periodic "Portable Perks" for members vacationing at Walt Disney World. Below, you'll find most of the privileges and discounts DVC members may access during their trip. Though many of the perks last all year, the list to follow is correct through July 2008.

The Floral Experience

The Floral Experience is a one-hour, interactive activity, where experts from Walt Disney World Florist and Gift Baskets will reveal the tricks of their trade and teach you the beauty of floral arrangements. Aside from learning these new tricks, you will also be designing a Disney-themed floral arrangement to take home. The class is held at Disney's BoardWalk Resort as well as Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. 

The Floral Experience is offered every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. Disney Vacation Club Members receive a 10% discount on the $50 retail price of this activity. All ages are welcome (an adult should accompany all children ages 10 and under). To register and confirm location, call 407-WDW-PLAY. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available.

Children's Activity Centers

DVC members receive a 10% discount at Children's Activity Centers at WDW. Kids ages 4-12 can enjoy computer games, Disney movies, dinner, and snacks in an environment created just for them--while you have a night out for yourself!

Children's Activity Centers are available at five locations: Cub's Den at Wilderness Lodge, Mouseketeer Clubhouse at the Grand Floridian, Neverland Kids Club at the Polynesian, Sandcastle Club at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts, and Simba's Clubhouse at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Hours of operation are 4:30 p.m. until midnight daily. Discount is limited to three children per member. Children must stay for a minimum of two hours. Participating children must be potty-trained, and no pull-ups are allowed. For Activity Center reservations, call 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463).

Member Freebies

• Fitness facility use is complimentary for Members at the WDW resort hotel at which they are staying and at any DVC resort.
• Valet parking is complimentary at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Parking is not available for Theme Park access.
• DVD rental is free for Members at any DVC resort.
• Members no longer pay the daily high-speed Internet access charge when staying at any Disney Vacation Club Resort.

Pool Hopping

You and any guests staying with you at Old Key West, BoardWalk, Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club, Saratoga Springs,or Animal Kingdom Villas are permitted to use other DVC and WDW resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the hotel at which you're staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you're visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate guests of that hotel. Please check with a host/hostess at the front desk of the resort you wish to visit to find out about pool-access availability. You must present your current "Key to the World" card with the DVC Member designation on it to use other resort hotel pools.

Pool hopping is not available at Uzima Pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Stormalong Bay and the leisure pools at the Yacht & Beach Club. There are no exceptions to this policy.

As a reminder, during times of high occupancy, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels/personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

Due to expected high occupancy, DVC Members may not "pool hop" August 29-September 1, 2008; November 24-30, 2008; and December 14, 2008-January 4, 2009.

Welcome Home Wednesdays

You're invited to join us for Welcome Home Wednesdays, a celebration for Members held most Wednesdays at 4:00 P.M. at Atlantic Dance Hall in Disney's BoardWalk entertainment district. This weekly extravaganza takes the place of Member Update, and with a new name and location come other exciting changes!

At Welcome Home Wednesdays, you'll enjoy refreshments, be entertained and enlightened during a fun interactive game, and hear the latest Disney Vacation Club news and exclusive Member perks. We've made coming "home" better than ever! We hope to see you there.

Become a Walt Disney World Passholder

DVC members and their immediate family residing in the same household are eligible to receive discounts on select WDW Annual and Premium Annual Passes. Passholders enjoy unlimited admission to all four Theme Parks 365 days a year, as well as special perks and offers.

Passes can be purchased at any Guest Relations location in all four Theme Parks and the Downtown Disney area. You must present your DVC member ID card and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household to purchase or redeem this offer. Limit of eight Annual Passes per household, per year.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Purchase discounted tickets for select nights of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! At this special Magic Kingdom event, you'll enjoy an enchanting night of holiday entertainment including a special parade, a nighttime fireworks spectacular, Disney Character greetings, snow on Main Street, U.S.A., the most popular Magic Kingdom attactions, and more. Taking place on select nights in November and December from 7 PM to midnight, this yuletide enent is one you can't miss!
