Extra Magic Hours
(Source: Official Resort Brochure Given to Guests Upon
Check-In)
More good news for guests of select Walt Disney World
Resort hotels. With the Extra Magic Hours benefit, each day
one of the Disney Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to an extra three hours after regular
park closing so guests can enjoy select attractions.
For the evening Extra Magic Hours benefit, just use your
Resort ID to pick up a wristband. Wristbands may be picked up
at at select locations in the Theme Park that is open for
Extra Magic Hours no sooner than three hours before regular Park
closing. Wristbands are not needed for the morning Extra Magic
Hours benefit; however, you still need to show your Resort ID
(Key to the World).
Aronda's Note: I'm not wild about the morning Extra Magic
Hour--I like to sleep late on my vacation--but I love the
evening Extra Magic Hours. I enjoyed Disney's Animal Kingdom
after dark during several trips--and was delighted by the
beauty of this park at night. My bet is that with the opening
of the Yak & Yeti Restaurant, Disney's Animal Kingdom will
remain open past 5:00 p.m. more often than not!

Even
Goofy was willing to stay up extra late for Extra Magic Hours
in DAK. At all the parks, the characters are out in force
during the three hours tacked on to park operating hours for
Resort guests.

This sign
explains how guests staying in select Walt Disney World
resorts are entitled to take advantage of the evening
perk.
