Four for a Dollar
Photos below
At Beauty
and the Beast Live on Stage, the pre-show entertainment
regularly includes a surprise singing group known as Four for
a Dollar. This group consists of four guys dressed in
stagehand costumes. They begin their show by placing
microphone stands on the stage in front of the lowered
curtain, then performing a "mike check" to make sure
they're working as they should. One thing quickly leads to
another, and soon the four performers are singing "moldy
oldies" to the delight of the audience.
A recent performance included such songs as
"Oh What a Night" and "Georgia," and in
the past we've seen "Love Potion No. 9" along with
others. At the end of the performance, the group stepped down
from the stage to honor a Guest's birthday, allowing her to
select a Disney song for them to perform. A delightful scene
indeed!
The group has wonderful voices, and the
songs, while they tend to be a bit vintage, are always catchy
and fun to hear. Four for a Dollar always begins its show so
that it will end by the scheduled beginning of Beauty and the
Beast Live on Stage, so be sure to arrive 15 minutes or so
early to catch the act. Be aware that the group takes days
off, so they may or may not perform during your visit.
So that you don't forget that you wanted to
see Four for a Dollar--and so many other things--during your
visit to Walt Disney World, you should use Aronda's Walt
Disney World Vacation Prep Pad to make and keep all
your touring plans for your next trip to WDW. The Prep
Pad is a pocket-sized planning workbook with pages of
interactive text to help you keep your vacation plans
organized. In the Prep Pad, you'll record your
dining reservations, make lists of attractions, shows--even
stores--you want to check out, and so much more. The
cleverly-designed "daily" pages allow you to
construct your days long before you decide the order in which
you'll tour the World! And, thanks to the Prep Pad's
small size, you'll take it right into the parks with you so
you'll have your plans with you at all times. Notes pages
allow you to write in things you'll want to remember as you
tour (a very handy feature for those who wish to publish
"trip reports" on the Internet), and special charts
allow you to keep track of your spending. As a Guest of our
website, you're invited to take advantage of a special
discount offer on the Prep Pad. Click here
