Name: The Hall of Presidents
Location: Magic Kingdom; Liberty Square

The Hall of Presidents
Photos below

Nestled in the colonial cityscape of Liberty Square, The Hall of Presidents is a terrific theatrical event, staged daily, which features none other than the Presidents of the United States--in Audio-Animatronic form, of course!

The show features all of the Presidents, from George Washington to the sitting President, all together on stage. While most don't talk, all are very much "alive" and operative figures, nodding and fidgeting in their seats. Abraham Lincoln speaks for a few minutes, and the sitting President takes the floor as well.

The pre-show area features displays containing possessions of the Presidents--be sure to have a look while you're waiting for the show (see photos of a few items below). The show itself begins with a film presentation which recaps the events leading up to the formation of the US, with the Presidents as a culmination of that segment.

This is a really nice show--you'll love the great number of Audio-Animatronics figures used in this one! A really good aspect of this attraction is that it has cushioned theater seating inside a dark, cool building--a very pleasant way to spend 20 minutes in a comfortable seat when you've been touring--especially when it's really hot outside!

Don't forget to visit this (or any) attraction, store, restaurant, or whatever your plans include--keep your plans in Aronda's Walt Disney World Vacation Prep Pad! The Prep Pad is a pocket-sized workbook designed to make Walt Disney World vacation planning fun and easy! With lots of blanks to record everything from restaurant reservations to lists of attractions to experience to stores to shop, the Prep Pad is the perfect way to organize your trip. Plenty of note pages allow you write down things to remember--you can make notes during your visit--and budget charts help you keep up with your spending. Best of all, the Prep Pad is small enough to fit into your pocket or "fanny pack" so you can have it with you all the time without the burden of keeping up with a large, cumbersome book. As a website visitor, you're invited to take advantage of our Prep Pad special discount offer. Find out more about the Prep Pad and the special offer by clicking here!

May 2009 Update: A July reopening is planned for the Hall of Presidents, an iconic attraction in Magic Kingdom.  An Audio-Animatronics version of President Barack Obama will join representations of the previous 43 presidents of the United States as part of an attraction that has been celebrating American history since Walt Disney World Resort opened in 1971.  Disney Imagineers also are updating a broad array of show elements.

ALL THE RIGHT MOVES – Disney Imagineer John Cutry programs an Audio-Animatronics likeness
of President Barack Obama in preparation for the July 2009 re-launch of the Hall of Presidents
attraction at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista , Fla. The attraction in the
Magic
Kingdom Park features Audio-Animatronics representations of all the United States Presidents.
President Obama’s likeness will have a speaking role, along with “George Washington” and “Abraham Lincoln.”

Upon reopening in July 2009, the Hall of Presidents building has a large sign over
the front porch to replace the smaller sign-on-post used before.
