Hippy Dippy Pool

Disney's Pop Century Resort's feature pool is the Hippy Dippy Pool, a very large custom job located right behind the lobby area of this resort. The pool is themed to match the "classic years" theme of Pop Century. As its name implies, the 1960s are highlighted here, so the colors are bright pastels and there are plenty of stylized flowers and 60s-era designs about.

As Pop Century is a value resort, there are no pool towels available here--be sure to bring a few towels from your room to dry off. There's also a bar here--Petals Pool Bar--ready to wet down your thirst poolside.

 Pop Century has quite a few rooms, so naturally plenty of them overlook this pool. Pool views are preferred views in Disney's system, so despite the noise and other possible inconveniences associated with having a room adjacent to the resort's feature pool, these rooms are more expensive than, say, a quieter parking lot view.

This is actually a well themed pool in a well themed resort--as with all of Disney's venues, the landscaping is wonderful, and the "feel" of the place is very friendly and inviting. If you're planning a visit to Disney's Pop Century Resort and you think you might like to have a swim, you won't go wrong at this pool!!
