Joy of Tea

A recent addition to the China pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase, the Joy of Tea outdoor stand is located across from the pavilion close to the World Showcase Lagoon. The stand offers teas, both iced and hot, along with tea slushes (some contain alcohol), bottled water, sodas, beer, and ice cream. An interesting feature of this establishment is that the sodas here are served in 12-ounce cans, an uncommon packaging at Walt Disney World.

This location opened in early 2007--possibly as a result of the success of the Anandapur Tea Company in Asia at Disney's Animal Kingdom. While Aronda and her team have never noticed either venue overly crowded, both do tend to have a steady flow of customers at their counters.

The theming of the building matches the rest of the China pavilion--with the classic red paint and the curved roof. The menu has several different groups of items, and we believe that the yummy Green Tea Ice Cream (among other items!) is going to make this one continue to grow in popularity as the Florida heat rises!
