Kona Island Sushi Bar
This quick service counter is located in the
upper level of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney's
Polynesian Resort. This upper level is directly above the
main lobby of the resort, and is the level from which the
monorail can be boarded here. In fact, Kona Island is right
next to the door leading to the monorail loading platform--the
perfect place to grab a coffee to go when you're on your way
to the Magic Kingdom!
In addition to coffee, Kona Island is now also
a sushi bar, offering a number of sushi menu items to go. Kona
Cafe, right next door, also includes a sushi offering as one
of its appetizers.
According to an earlier menu board, Kona Island
uses coffee "Grown in Kona, Hawaii, roasted in Orlando, Florida,
served in Disney's Polynesian Resort at Kona Cafe." In
addition to regular (and decaf) coffee, this location has
specialty coffees as well as pastries. Of course, other drinks
are available here as well--in bottles. This coffee counter
makes the coffee served at Kona Cafe
restaurant, located next door.
This is a terrific and convenient place to
grab some joe to go--swing by on your way out, whether you're
staying at the Polynesian or just visiting!!
