Mickey's PhilharMagic
This Fantasyland attraction, which opened in the fall of
2003, is an absolute must-see! It replaced the Legend of the
Lion King show in Fantasyland and added an incredible twist on
so many of Disney's best movies.
The show building is beautiful, and the 3-D movie inside is
so much more than "just" a movie. The stage opens up
during the performance and the spectacle is amazing.
Everything starts when Donald Duck takes matters into his own
hands, angers an entire orchestra, and takes us with him through several different
Disney movies
including The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast,
Fantasia, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid.
The show is filled with special effects, including the
physical effects of popping champagne corks and the aromas of
French pastries. The ending is a HOOT, but be prepared
to turn your head to the back of the theater for the full
effect.
As is common with Disney's more popular attractions,
there's a gift shop (called Fantasy
Faire) located at the exit--be sure to stop by for
PhilharMagic-themed merchandise!
This show features continuous performances, but it's quite
popular--so be sure to use FastPass if you can!
