Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun Parade

Opening in mid-January 2011, the new Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun Parade is a high-energy addition to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Unlike Block Party Bash, which Pixar Pals replaces, the new parade never stops moving down the street. The floats--many of which are modified from Block Party Bash--and dancers' costumes, which are recycled from Block Party Bash, evoke the former BPB, but the flow is substantially improved with this new parade. 

As reflected by the name, this parade features characters from Disney/Pixar movies, including Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., Ratatouille, and Up. Interestingly, Cars was not represented. The theme song incorporates Todd Rundgren's "Bang the Drum All Day"--a moldy oldie that seems to work well in this application.

Our viewing of the parade on Sunday, January 16, 2011 lasted approximately (7) minutes. The wait time, however, was much longer!
