Restaurantosaurus
New in
September 2009: Restaurantosaurus has joined the ranks of
WDW counter
service restaurants now offering self-serve drink
stations!
Now, you purchase a single size of drink cup, which you fill
and
refill as often as you like during your meal!
Located in Dinoland, Restaurantosaurus has been a
McDonald's eatery until late 2008, when the McDonald's fare
was replaced by Disney-produced entrees. Also, before Tusker
House was retooled as a table-service buffet,
Restaurantosaurus was the home to Animal Kingdom's only
table-service breakfast, known as Donald's Breakfastosaurus.
Now that it has become a fully Disney-oriented, dedicated
counter-service eatery, the menu and the food quality has
become stable and yummy (for counter service, that is!!).
The restaurant is a large, sprawling affair, set up as a
palentological field camp, complete with a large tent
laboratory filled with fossils from the dig as well as
artifacts from the diggers! Other rooms include vintage camper
trailers, equipment storage sheds, and others. The well-themed
building and its stock of props make this one worth visiting
as a sort of walk-through attraction in and of itself! There
are plenty of tables here, many inside and lots outside (some
outside tables are covered, some are not).
Like the other counter service restaurants
inside Animal Kingdom park, Restaurantosaurus accepts the Disney
Dining Experience card, so be sure to show yours if you have
one to save 20% off your bill.
