Screen Test
(photos below)
Located in the American Film Institute shop at
the Disney-MGM Studios, Screen Test is a setup in which your
image can be placed onto a simulated magazine cover, giving
the appearance that you're the cover story! There are lots of
various magazine titles from which you choose--and you can
decide to share your cover with other celebrities, such as
Barbara Eden or even Mickey Mouse. The magazine covers are
cute, and would make a nice framed piece to display in your
rec-room at home or even at the office.
This venue was originally housed in the shop
near the front of the park known as Cover Story, but it was
moved here a few years ago. Now, Cover Story is the D-MGM
location to view and pick up your PhotoPass photos.
To get to Screen Test, you can either attend
the Studio Backlot Tour; the tram will drop you off so that
you pass through the AFI cinema museum, then enter the shop in
which Screen Test is located. If you'd rather go directly to
the AFI shop, it's down an alleyway near the Flatbread Grill
(Studio Catering Company) counter service restaurant.
Be sure to stop by and have a look at the
various magazine covers that are available here--you may
decide to put yourself on the cover of your favorite!
