for a trip around the Mediterranean"
Spoodles Restaurant is located on Disney's BoardWalk among
several other restaurants and shops in this area. The food is
Mediterranean-style ("Cuisine of the Sun!"), and quite good!! You can't miss the large sign
out front--the "O"s in Spoodles are olives.
This restaurant currently serves breakfast and dinner.
Lunch was discontinued after the tourism downturn a few years
ago, and hasn't yet been reinstated. Too bad, because this
was an excellent place to kick back and enjoy a fabulous
lunch. There's a "pizza window" in the front of this
establishment which does serve pizzas "to go" or to
eat at one of the several outdoor tables on the BoardWalk near
here. Spoodles' pizzas are available for lunch, dinner and
late-night snacking.
In January 2006, I ate dinner here, and found everything
to be as terrific as ever. I had the Lemon Chicken with
couscous, and it was wonderful. Spoodles offers Fess Parker's
chardonnay, so of course I had a glass with my chicken.
The real beauty of Spoodles--and all restaurants at the
BoardWalk or the other resorts around Crescent Lake--is the
convenient location in relation to Epcot. To access Spoodles
from Epcot, simply exit through International Gateway (between
the U.K. pavilion and France), and a short walk gets you
there. It's also accessible from Disney-MGM Studios, either by
boat or a 10-minute walk on the paved path near the bus stops.
If you've enjoyed all of Epcot's restaurants and you'd like to
try something "else," then consider Spoodles!
Several years ago, the manager at Aronda's local Disney
Store, Tina, said that she loved Spoodles. She told us that
she ate here as part of her Cast Member training at WDW.
Unfortunately, that Disney Store closed, but we actually ran
into Tina and her family in 2005 after the SpectroMagic parade
at Magic Kingdom. It was good to see her again--too bad we
couldn't all have had dinner together at Spoodles. Maybe
someday!!!

A fabulous restaurant at the beautiful BoardWalk. If
