Tangierine Cafe
At Epcot's Morocco pavilion, there are both
table service and counter service restaurants. The table
service eatery, known as Restaurant Marrakesh, is hidden way
in the back of the pavilion, though someone usually rolls a
podium out onto the promenade to answer questions about the
menu and entice Guests to give it a try.
At the front of the pavilion, the Tangierine
Cafe is easy to spot, and very yummy to eat at! This counter
service restaurant offers a fairly large menu,
as counter service menus go, and all the food is tasty here.
The price points are a bit high, though you get lots of food
for the money. This one is really a great deal for those on
the Magic Your Way Dining Plan!!
Aronda loves the meatball platter, though
she's also partial to the Shawarma platter as well.
Unfortunately, as with so many counter service restaurants at
the Walt Disney World Resort, the iced tea here comes out of
the soda fountain, so beware. We recently received a tip from
one of Aronda's website visitors regarding the tea. He
suggested going to the Yakatori House--the counter service
restaurant in the Japan pavilion (located at the rear of the
pavilion)--and ordering a large green tea, as it not only
tastes great, but it's also fresh brewed, then taking it to
whatever World Showcase counter service you want to eat at.
This would work well with Tangierine Cafe, as Japan is right
next door to Morocco.
In the rear of this restaurant (inside the
dining area), a separate dessert counter offers plenty of
sweet treats, including several varities of baklava, many with
pistachio nuts ground up and sprinkled on them. Additionally,
specialty coffees such as cappuccino and espresso, can be
purchased at this counter.
Next time you're hungry at World Showcase,
but you don't have a reservation at a table service restaurant
or you just want a very good-quality meal in a hurry, stop by
Tangierine Cafe.

Side by side order stations handle the "fairly"
light crowds at Tangierine Cafe.
It does sometimes get busy here, though--testimony to the good
food served here!

The food is plated behind the glass case, so you can watch
your order being assembled

The decor here matches the
intricate quality of the rest of the Moroccan pavilion
