Warming Hut
You know, when I'm swimming, I almost always get a
hankering for a big rack o' ribs! Fortunately, when in Blizzard
Beach, you can have just that! Among other menu
offerings,
Warming Hut has 1/2 Slab of St. Louis Ribs. How's that for
hospitality at the water park???
In keeping with Blizzard Beach's theme, Warming Hut
was part of the large ski resort built long before Walt Disney World
opened after a freak winter snowstorm struck central Florida.
However, as the snow from the storm melted, Warming Hut, like the
rest of Blizzard Beach, was retooled for the much more typical hot
weather.
Seriously, Warming Hut is a walk-up counter service
type of eatery located in the middle of Blizzard Beach. It has
plenty of ice-cold drinks as well as a couple of sandwiches, a
salad, and some dessert items. Not as fancy as Lottawatta
Lodge, but a decent place to get some hard-to-find menu items!
Despite the fact that the refillable mugs long
offered in the resort hotels haven't made it into the theme parks,
the water parks do offer them--for all-day refills. The mugs feature
a machine-readable bar code to make sure your mug is still
"valid" (i.e., purchased today), something not yet
utilized in the resorts as of this writing in the summer of 2010. On
a hot day at the water park, this just might be the thing to have!
